JICHO PEVU MIGHT JOIN WIPER AFTER TEAM JOHO BLOCK HIS DIRECT NOMINATION FOR ODM TICKET.

Nyali ODM nominations on parliamentary seat is taking a crucial and vigorous engagement either positively or negatively. other contesters are silent on it except Mohamed Ali Jicho pevu and Said Sirlem Saido. The controversy started when Jicho pevu supporters blew their own trumpet by exposing how they will get direct ODM nomination from Orange house through director of Elections at Orange house. Mohamed Hatimy who is the chair of ODM, believes that there is no single candidate who is special than the other. He is categorical clear that there is no single article in the constitution of the party that favours any individuals to get direct ticket without battling in free and fair nomination procedures. It is in the public domain that Jicho Pevu aspirations has never been on the parameter of Joho's credentials. it is know that Jicho pevu was told by Raila to work closely with In case he wants to get ODM ticket, despite him being close to Raila. Jicho pevu was forced to work with Joho as a victim of circumstances but not in the gear of mutual relationship. This has resulted to silent shift of trust between Joho and Jicho pevu. it has brought a lot of disintegration among Joho's family on whether to support Jicho pevu or not. The fight has resulted to pure incitements among the electorates of who not to receive direct ODM nominations. recently some Luos from Nyali constituency paid a courtesy visits to Johoo in the protest against direct nominations. Saidoo is a candidate who believes he has been in Mombasa ODM politics for long. He is among the top organs who have directly engaged in ODM affairs Mombasa county. He was shocked to know that he will be locked out of ODM politics simply because there is a new entry of a stranger in Nyali politics who want to be given direct nomination of ODM ticket in Nyali politics. This has resulted to much resistance from himself and his supporters, by demanding free and fair nominations.
what ODM supporters in  Nyali politics are keen is not to have a repetition of what happened in the last general elections when Joho forced  an ODM candidate by the name MCHARO who later lost to wiper candidate AWITI.
The questions many are asking, why is it that those many supporters of Joho are supporting Saidoo for Nyali race? Will Moha join Wiper?

JICHO PEVU TO LOOSE NYALI SEAT 2017

Nyali politics is considered as the most vigorous and spiral politics in Mombasa county. it has attracted large number of aspirants in consideration that it hosts a population of non indigenous people. The exit of the incumbent MP Awiti Bolo has created a political space for any Tom, Dick and Hurry that would want to vie. It has attracted MP aspirants like county assembly speaker Thaduis Rajwayi, Said Sirlem (Saidoo), Mwenda Thuranira, Mohammed Ali(Jicho Pevu), Mark Ouma, Yassir Noor, Peter Adalla, Tony Lights and Mcharo and others. The recent political rival among ODM candidates between Jicho pevu and Saidoo might just cereate a space for another strong candidate with different political party will  benefit from the confusion between the unnecessary competition among Saidoo and jicho pevu.  it is on the public domain that Joho's family support both Saidoo and Jicho pevu financially and politically but that has created division among the two camps. Team Saidoo believes that there will be No free and fair ODM nomination since they are aware that Jicho Pevu will get direct nomination from Orange House. the wrangles between the two is only exposing their defeat in Nyali politics 2017 because ODM ticket has never been a guarantee to win parliamentary seat in Nyali. Nyali politics is purely dominated by cosmopolitan nature to which tribes from upcountry will always carry the day on who to support for Nyali seat 2017. Candidates with upcountry origin, have higher chances of winning Nyali seat, but it will depend on who has the best strategy. Saidoo has a good political experience with Nyali politics and he stands a better chance of beating his rival Jicho pevu, but he may not win Nyali seat. Jicho Pevu had higher chance of winning Nyali seat, but people have started questioning his intention of contesting in Nyali constituency, unlike his first intention of contesting in Mvita. Despite his media skills in fighting human rights, people of Nyali still believe he cannot be a good politician, but he can do well in his media career. it is believed that Jicho Pevu can't name more than two village in a single ward within Nyali constituency. This is an indication that he is not well versed with the geography of Nyali. Nyali politics will be won by any person who has upcountry background. Is it Rajwayi or Mark Ouma? time will tell.

WHO WILL WIN IN NYALI POLITCS 2017?

Thaddeus Rajwayi: he is one of the potential candidates who has a history of grassroots Bunge La mwananchi. He enjoys a lot of support from people who come from upcountry hence high chance of winning, since majority of voters have upcountry origin, luos recording the highest number of voter. He only need to start throwing his last bullets. The propaganda implicated on him about corruption didn't work well with the initiators as it was meant to bring him down but fortunately it worked on his side. Mohammed Ali jicho pevu has an advantage of enjoying Raila support but unfortunately 80% of Joho's supporters don't support him. He has a good track record in media industry, if well utilized he has a chance. He needs to have a good strategy of ground breaking, which I believe he can. Let him not relax knowingly that he might secure ODM ticket, which might be opposite on the ballot results, putting in mind it happened to John Mcharo. Many Nyalians view him as an outsider but this narrative might change. Mark Ouma Mkenya is young and energetic, but unfortunately he hasn't marshaled his ground well. May be because of limited resources, but he has an advantage of using his age to convince Youths and women to vote for him. He can surprise many who didn't expect he can perform wonders.Yassir Noor was a threat to last general elections, but for now he seems to relax so much taking advantage that he is not new in politics. His job as a director in KCC has created disintegration among his supporters  to which they thought he had an upper hand in securing jobs for them, unfortunately he is just a mere director who depends on only allowances as remunerations which can't influence something more to his supporters. This has gradually lowered his chance, but he has a room for improvement. Adalla is not popular, but seems to ride on the back of Awiti instead of focusing on ground work. Crispus Waithaka is a new force who believes he will Marshall GEMA votes as the Chairman. If the narrative goes as per the expectations, he stands high chances of winning Nyali seat hence a nightmare to Yassir Noor. Said Abdalla Saido is another energy to win Nyali politics because of good finance Marshall. he has linked well with grssroot supporters of Joho due to his political experience in team Joho campaign team. unfortunately many have regarded him as a native of governor Joho to which they either elect Joho as a governor or him as the area MP due to family conflict of interest. He either choose to be the MP then Joho looses votes for governorship and vice versa. rumours has that he has secured FORD KENYA ticket in fear that MOHA JICHO PEVU has an upper hand of securing ODM ticket.

FOR JOHO TO BECOME RAILA'S RUNNING MATE IS LIKE TRYING TO MILK A LIONESS.

Picking Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho as your running mate will be disastrous for Cord leader Raila Odinga, Aden Duale has said.
He said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang'ula stand a better chance to give Jubilee leaders a run for their money, because they have the numbers and influence on the voters.
“You are leaving Kalonzo with more than 1.5 million votes and Weta [Wetang'ula] with the Luhya massive following for Joho? You will fall and break your skull my friend,” the National Assembly Majority leader and Garissa Township MP said.
He said either of them should be Raila’s deputy.
Duale said it will be a big misstep for Raila to choose a deputy "who hardly commands more than 1.5 million votes".
"Politics is about numbers, the one with the most carry the day, if the voting process is fair," he said..
Duale thinks Raila is doing a minus calculation to consider the youthful Joho as part of his winning team.
On Sunday in Mombasa, he said he predicts a straight win for Jubilee, because the opposition is making blunders day by day.
Duale was reacting to remarks that Joho should deputised Raila.
During ODM “10 at 10” celebrations in Kisumu, Governor Jack Ranguma, MP John Mbadi (Suba), Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu) and woman representative Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi) said Joho fits the bill

THE BIG BRAIN OF SARAI IN WIPER THAT MAKE JOHO TO WORRY 24/7

THE TONONOKA DECLARATION
The Making of A Constitutional Democratic Republic
We the People of Kenya, gathered here at the Tononoka grounds in Mombasa on this Second day of October, 2016 and cognisant of Article 1 of the Constitution of Kenya which vests sovereign power in the people and in the exercise of our constitutional right to Assembly and Association enshrined in the Bill of Rights and in further fulfillment of Article 91 and 92 of the Constitution, associating ourselves and articulating our aspirations through the Wiper Democratic Movement - Kenya aver as follows:
1. THE MAKING OF A CONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC
Kenya has evolved through its various episodes of history and generations. The Independence generation fought for our freedom and dignity. The generation of Young Turks fought for political pluralism and a new constitutional order. In our final liberation, the Wiper Democratic Movement will nurture the Constitutional Generation which will be the critical foundation of our Democratic Republic.
Through political programmes and actions and cognisant of Articles 54, 55 and 56 of the Constitution and all provisions that provide for a Gender-inclusive government and/or State, including but not limited to Articles 81 (b) read with Article 27 of the Constitution together with provisions of Article 1 and 10 and Chapter 6 of the Constitution, the Wiper Democratic Movement will guarantee that the Constitution in its letter and spirit is the foundation of our New Republic.
2. THE STATE OF OUR POLITICS
The Wiper Democratic Movement is concerned at the extent to which politics has in the recent past been monetised in an alarming way! The situation is further complicated by ethnicisation, corruption and an acute lack of integrity in our politics. This is making it increasingly difficult for hitherto marginalised constituencies including the minority communities, women, youth and persons living with disabilities to meaningfully participate in the nation’s politics life.
The Wiper Democratic Movement commits itself to providing the political ‘greenhouse’ which guarantees effective, equal and meaningful political participation and competition for all. Through our programmes and actions, the Wiper Democratic Movement will put in place frameworks and guidelines that aide the political participation and competition of minority communities, women, youth and persons living with disabilities. These frameworks and guidelines will eradicate all obstacles that impede meaningful and effective political participation of the marginalised constituencies.
In particular, the Wiper Democratic Movement will upon its election form a 50-50 government with respect to gender to lay the foundation to comply with all demands of the Constitution on gender inclusivity.
3. THE STATE OF THE NATION
The Wiper Democratic Movement notes that Kenya continues to be one of the most unequal societies in the world. This is an assault to the conscience of the nation and a betrayal of the promise of liberty. A nation can never be free when the overwhelming majority of its countrymen languish in the shackles of abject poverty.
The situation is further compounded by fleecing greed and corruption; nepotism, negative ethnicity, hatred and division; indignation of our people; and disregard and lack of respect for our constitutional order. Today, a child born of poverty stands little or no chance in life and nothing is being done to expand opportunities for ‘fair play’ by an increasingly ruthless, reckless and selfish oligarch of nyama eaters.
The Wiper Democratic Movement stands for a just, equitable and democratic order. The Movement is committed to the ideals of Democratic Socialism that seeks to reverse the cycle of inequality. The Wiper Democratic Movement therefore establishes the Vanguard Committee to oversee the overall adherence of the Movement, its structures, its members, elected leaders and aspirants to the Social Democratic faith.
In building a clean government that fundamentally alters the character and nature of our politics, the Wiper Democratic Movement will bar candidates who fail the test of integrity from seeking elective position to deter the cycle of procrastination of the promise of genuine transformation.
4. THE STATE OF THE COALITION
The Wiper Democratic Movement believes that the state of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) is strong.
The Wiper Democratic Movement is unequivocal that our Movement Leader, H.E. HON. STEPHEN KALONZO MUSYOKA is the movement’s choice for President of the Republic of Kenya and the best placed candidate to secure victory in the 2017 general elections and lead the nation through the path of transformation.
The Wiper Democratic Movement will therefore hold its National Delegates Conference in the next six weeks to formally endorse the candidature of H.E. Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. In keeping in line with the democratic values of our party, any other member is invited to seek the Movement’s endorsement.
In pursuing Coalition’s preparedness for the 2017 general elections, the Wiper Democratic Movement is resolute the Coalition’s flag-bearer must be named on or before Christmas Day, the Twenty Fifth of December, Two Thousand and Sixteen (25th December, 2016)
DECLARED THIS SECOND DAY OF OCTOBER, 2016 AT TONONOKA GROUNDS, MOMBASA

THE GREAT CARRICULUM VITAE FOR HASSAN OMAR SARAI TO DEFEAT JOHO THE CAR DEALER .

Hassan was born in the great city of Mombasa on 23 October, 1975. His late father Omar Hassan Sarai then worked with the Cargo Handling Services while his mother Aisha Abdallah Suleiman Mazrui worked as a clerk at Cadbury Schweppes. His father was to later become a banker at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while his mother became a housewife. Hassan is married to Asli Osman Mahamud who is a lawyer.
Hassan was brought up as an only child by parents who inculcated strong Islamic values. Hassan grew up in the Kibokoni neighbourhood in Old Town, Mombasa. Hassan loved football and was the goalkeeper of the neighbourhood’s football team, Brazil Junior. Hassan grew up together with his cousins Khadija Ahmed, Hamida Soud, Alamin Soud, Rashida Soud, Salim Soud, Abdallah Mabruk, Joha Mbaruk and Abdulmajid Mbaruk who he regards as his brothers and sisters.
At an early age, Hassan attended madarassah (Islamic classes) and started his primary schooling at the Mombasa Primary School in 1982. During these formative days, Hassan’s uncle, a former Court Clerk and later a miner, the late Abdallah Mohamed Bin Suleiman became a strong political influence in his life. The late Abdallah not only got Hassan to loving his tea, but often discussed with the young Hassan a wide range of issues on current affairs and politics. His other uncle renowned professor Ali Alamin Mazrui was a strong intellectual inspiration to Hassan while former political detainee Prof. Alamin Mazrui was his strong influence towards the discourse for human rights and social justice.
Hassan joined Lenana School in 1990 to pursue his high school education at a time of both local and global transformation that not only shaped the course of history, but defined the direction Hassan eventually took. The collapse of the Berlin wall and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), the advent of multiparty politics in Kenya through the repeal of section 2A of the constitution, Muslim quest for political participation and representation through the Islamic Party of Kenya (IPK) among other highlights of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
After high school, Hassan briefly underwent military training at the Armed Forces Training College (AFTC) now the Kenya Military Academy between 1994 and 1995 as an Air Force cadet. Nonetheless, Hassan left the military college to pursue a career in law at Moi University in 1995. Hassan’s life at the university was extremely eventful. It is university life that served as a critical turning point for Hassan - taking the courageous plunge into student politics and leader and political activism towards expanding the democratic space during a repressive Moi/KANU reign.
Hassan was elected Chairman of the Moi University Student Organization (MUSO), the Kenya National Students Union (KENASU), the Kenya University Muslim Students Association (KUMSA) and the Council for University Students of East Africa (CUSEA). Hassan also served as Secretary General of the East Africa Youth Council (EAYCO- Kenya Chapter). Hassan got actively engaged in human rights advocacy and training under the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM), Muslims for Human Rights (MUHURI) and KENASU. He received training on governance and democracy from the Les Aspin Centre for Government, Washington DC, USA. Hassan was also a founder and board member of the Muslim Consultative Council (MCC) – a human rights and constitutional change lobby group – and the National Coordinator of the Muungano wa Mageuzi (Movement for Change) lobby group which advocated for the expansion of democratic space in Kenya in the period leading to the 2002 general elections.
In May, 2006, Hassan was nominated to serve as commissioner of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) by religious institutions including SUPKEM, the National Muslim Leaders Forum (NAMLEF), Jamia Mosque Committee and the Coast Interfaith Council of Clerics (CICC). Aged 31, Hassan was appointed commissioner of the KNCHR in January 2007. At the time of his appointment, Hassan was the youngest person to be ever appointed as a commissioner to a legislative or constitutional commission and this remains the case to-date. Despite his young age, Hassan left a huge print in Kenya’s human rights discourse.
Hassan’s work at the KNCHR
As the time of his appointment as commissioner, the KNCHR as an independent National Human Rights Institution was established by an Act of Parliament, the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights Act, 2002. Under the Constitution, the KNCHR is now a Commission established under Article 59(4).
Hassan was appointed as Commissioner in January 2007 aged 31 making him the youngest commissioner to serve the KNCHR for a 5 year term of office after a vigorous process which entails Parliamentary vetting of nominees, adoption by Parliament and eventual appointment by the President.
At the KNCHR, Hassan has served as commissioner responsible for various areas of work which include Security Sector Reforms, Transitional Justice, National Cohesion and Peace Building and Anti-Corruption Advocacy. Hassan was the head of the Commission’s election monitoring programme during the 2007 general elections and later the August 4, 2010 Constitutional referendum. Hassan served as the Commission’s Vice Chairman from 2008 to 2010.
At a young age, Hassan was undeniably the Commission’s most vocal and visible commissioner and in many ways represented one of the most trusted and respected human rights advocate in Kenya. He distinguished himself as a fearless and consistent defender of human rights and provided the KNCHR with massive public credibility and appeal. Hassan dedicated his time in the Commission as an ardent advocate for accountability and consistently spearheaded the fight against impunity. He is a trusted and dependable defender of the weak and often violated members of the Kenyan society and gives voice to the voiceless.
Hassan had a distinguished and illustrious term at the KNCHR. Being head of the Security Sector Reform programme, he advocated against extrajudicial killings by security agencies and in particular the police. He heightened the campaign to such points as to have the matter gain the notice and attention of the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial killings and summary executions. The report produced under Hassan’s watch and leadership by the KNCHR, titled, “The Cry of Blood: Report on Extra-Judicial Killings and Disappearances” published in September, 2008 largely informed the findings of the UN Special Rapporteur during his mission to Kenya in February 2009.
As an advocate against torture Hassan through his department yet published another report following an investigation on a military operation, “Okoa Maisha” to root out the Sabaot Land Defence Force where innocent people were tortured and killed. The report titled, “The Mountain of Terror: A Report on the Investigations of Torture by the Military at Mt. Elgon” published in May 2008 was instructive in calling for the accountability of senior military officers and other duty bearers. The report calling for the prosecution of senior military officer hitherto unheard of in Kenya demonstrated not only the courage of the KNCHR but that of Hassan in dealing with impunity head-on.
Hassan demonstrated his personal commitment to fighting impunity by calling for accountability for perpetrators of the 2007 post election violence. At the risk of his own personal safety and security, Hassan consistently and tirelessly called for the prosecution of high level perpetrators of crimes including cabinet ministers, businessmen and other senior government officials. This was following the release of the KNCHR report titled, “On the Brink of the Precipice: A Human Rights Account of Kenya’s 2007 Post Election Violence”.
Hassan was responsible for putting in place the Commission’s Witness Protection Intervention Programme which offered critical interventions for potential witnesses into the post election violence at a time when the government’s Witness Protection Agency was yet to become fully operational. Witness protection is fundamental towards fighting impunity.
Despite public opinion in Kenya often appearing to provide legitimacy to illegal police action Hassan never relented in his constitutional and legal opposition to extrajudicial killings when combating crimes or renditions in terrorism related interventions. Hassan took firm positions against the vices. The KNCHR eventually cultivated relative public support against the vices and a call for accountability against perpetrators and violators of the law.
Hassan led initiatives aimed at making human rights a popular discourse in Kenya. Of particular note is the “Agenda 5” TV programmes that aired on one of the leading television network in Kenya, KTN. The programmes leading to the August 4 constitutional referendum were able to highlight pertinent human rights issues with respect to the then proposed constitution. The programmes which were immensely educative greatly helped Kenyans to make informed choices as regards the constitution and further articulated the human rights message and discourse to the people of Kenya.
Hassan has participated in numerous human rights initiatives both locally and internationally. He has been able to champion for the rights of Kenyans and for the dignity of all human beings. He is undoubtedly a selfless and unrelenting advocate for human rights and social justice. Hailing from Mombasa and some of Kenya’s minority communities, Hassan has distinguished himself as a true patriot. He has won the respect and admiration of many Kenyans and international actors.
Present
Hassan is one of Kenya’s illustrious and promising National figures and serves as Senator for Mombasa County.

MOHAMMED ALI JICHO PEVU GIVING THE OPPRESSORS OF THE LAW SLEEPLESS NIGHT

MCK has proved that  is partisan and taking instructions from junior officers are State House. As a regulator they should start by de registering State House based journalists who write only about one individual and hos propaganda yet they are paid by taxpayers. They should then move to DP's office and do the same. Kerich has proved that he is not going to be an umpire on professional matters but a megaphone for partisan politics. Radio Africa Group continues to underpay journalists under his watch. The Star has more errors and partisan opinion polls as he watches. Where does he expect the aggrieved to register their complaints? We dare him to deregister the journalist and we will respond in defense of our civic rights in court and sue him to his last penny. We also ask him to appraise himself with how global media houses take sides a d endorse candidates with powerful page one editorials. The media space has to be defended and we cannot stomach such ill advised stand points from a council that has no track record any professional journalist can remember it for. The industry is in a mess and the regulator appears rudderless.

DENNIS ITUMBI MUST KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT IN K.A.N.U REGIME.

Kenya Union of Journalist(KUJ)  rejects Media Council Position on Journalists with political interests: " The Media Council guidelines on journalists with political interests should not be taken seriously by journalists. Those are illegal guidelines that suppress freedom of expression. In other countries journalists are usually affiliated to political ideologies. The Media Council Council of Kenya should come up with a framework that will allow journalists as professionals to take a stand on political issues to deal with the confusion it is trying to address rather than resorting to gagging. We must avoid KANU style of addressing problems in the industry. Civil servants are given a period to leave office to start campaigns. What about journalists? Is it one year? two years? One week?", Eric Oduor, KUJ Sec-Gen.

SENATOR OMAR HASSAN SARAI WILL DEFEAT ALI HASSAN JOHO IN 2017

senator Omar Hassan Sarai is one of the prominent gubernatorial aspirant in Mombasa county 2017. This has resulted to a panic mode of incumbent governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Mombasa residents have easy access to senator Sarai than governor Joho. the senator is regarded as one of the most leader who often interact with any given person in the society. He is a darling of may youths in Mombasa county and Kenya at large. his office management and staff are 90% youthful. Most of the university students in and outside Mombasa have had effective association in leadership mentor ship talks. This is because Omar Hassan believes in youth revolution leadership for positive future development.
Omar Hassan is the only and the first senator in Kenya to have a strategic plan that enhances article 96 of the constitution. Establishment of Renaissance center has been regarded as the new beginning to foster good narrative of different components of leadership and development.  The center  is facilitated and supported  by well wishers who are regarded as friend of SARAI. The good coordination of  technical staff at the center has established friendly pragmatic services that has experienced  good reception from the member of the public.
The performance of Omar Hassan at the senate has been regarded as professional and standard expectation. this is because of eloquent and energetic contribution to the senate. This has attracted positive remarks from both the majority and minority side in the senate. Sponsoring of private bill on human dignity by Omar Hassan has raised his profile of defining his background as a human right defender. This is due of him playing a role of professional extension to the senate.
Sarai as the wiper secretary general, he played a crucial role in CORD fraternity. His outspoken views, has made him one of the outstanding politicians that CORD principals have always admired and cherished. This can be witnessed through various political podium he has attended.even though he has been a critic of Presidency as an institution, he has shifted a little to county government since it is one of the institution closer to the people.
his entry in gubernatorial race has caused panic to his big rival Hassan Joho.it is difficult for Joho to undermine Sarai bearing in mind sarai won senatorial position with landslide margin than Kajembe who was Joho's favorite. what itches Joho so much is up to now he hasn't known the exact strategies Sarai will use in 2017 elections. he can choose to undermine other candidates like Awiti and Shaabal but not Sarai.
Sarai stands a better chance of winning Mombasa  gubernatorial  2017 because of his good community entry strategies. with the assistance of his friends like Mahamoud Noor, Sarai has established good mechanism of representation at the grassroots level.  Mahamoud Noor has played a key role in ensuring sustainable network linkages towards the grassroots level. he has been regarded as the Alpha of team Sarai.
Sarai has had history of fortune that has God's blessing towards his career growth of life. back from the being a cadet in the armed forces, chairman of Moi University Student association, human right commissioner and now the senator of Mombasa. who knows the next governor of Mombasa??? GOD knows.

Kahawa Tamu: DENNIS ITUMBI AND JUBILEE GOVERNMENT WANT TO TARGE...

Kahawa Tamu: DENNIS ITUMBI AND JUBILEE GOVERNMENT WANT TO TARGE...: I have just seen the Media Council communique asking media houses to fire all journalists, on their pay roll, harbouring political ambitions...

DENNIS ITUMBI AND JUBILEE GOVERNMENT WANT TO TARGET PROMINENT JOURNALIST TO FINISH ACCOUNTABILITY. MOHAMMED ALI JICHO PEVU??

I have just seen the Media Council communique asking media houses to fire all journalists, on their pay roll, harbouring political ambitions. Through their Chair, Charles Kerich, the council has asked all journalists who have declared affiliation to political parties or indicated their intentions to vie for elective positions in the coming elections do so outside newsrooms. Kerich also says the Council will withdraw accreditations of such journalists which means they will not be authorised to work as a media practitioner. Let me tell you something. The first question I asked myself after reading that thing was; "Who is a journalist?" Is Bonoko-deh a professional journalist? What about Mwala Muteti Wa Kilavi? We have Kenyans who sink their hard-earned money to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism, go through the professional rigours equipping themselves with the core competencies of the demanding profession, then after graduation some rascal from a struggling comedy show, who has never seen an inside of a journalism class, is hired to take up the place of these trained chaps. I keep telling those who care to listen that if the Media Council do not want Kenyans to go to Journalism School, they should close them all allow media houses to hire quacks who broadcast illicit content on morning radio. When you fail to do the constitutional job you were assigned to do, you have no business lecturing any journalist who harbours political ambition under the sun; because we all know where the motivation of this order has come from. Mohammed Ali will leave KTN today, or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, but his exit will not have resolved the ineptitude of the policy-implementors at the Media Council who either do no understand their scope of work or are blind to the glaring political interference currently exhibited by those in that board issuing decrees like crackpot dictators. Radio journalist Njogu wa Njoroge threw his hat in the ring for the Njoro parliamentary seat a million years ago. It was well fleshed out in all the papers. He even had a photoshoot with President Uhuru Kenyatta. The hotrod Kameme FM presenter, famous for having a venomous tongue on air, even hosted a bash in Kasarani where a heavy contingent of TNA wagons, led by airhead Moses Kuria, amid cheers from the partisan crowd, called for the assassination of Raila Odinga. Anyone who associates with a thug is a thug himself. "Show me your friends, and I'll tell you who you are" is not any other idle expression of speech. Yet you did not hear The Media Council issue a decree telling that cobra-tongued-masquerador to quit the clean profession of journalism and focus on the mud of politics. They kept their beaks all shut. Until Dennis Itumbi started a Facebook war with Mohammed Ali and was losing the fight, when the Media Council decided to tag team with the oppressive system to give them an unnecessary jolt. The Media Council's terms of reference is not limited to placing a microchip on journalists alone. They have a constitutional mandate to also monitor media practitioners. Gladys Boss Shollei wants to be Uasin Gishu Senator on a Jubilee ticket. She is married to Standard Group's CEO Sam Shollei. This is Kenya, and we all know how the story goes. When GB Shollei was being hounded out of the Judiciary on corruption allegations, it is to Standard Media Group where she ran for cover - launching missiles upon missiles of comebacks against the, then, Chief Justice Willy Mutunga. I didn't see the Media Council raise a finger. They coiled their tails like a washed out cat and fence-sat through the unprofessional melee. You can bet your yellow Volkswagen Beetle that the Council will not send any letter to Sam Shollei asking him not to allow his wife use the Standard Group the way she wants. You could argue The Standard Media Group will be Jubilee's official broadcasting partner when the bell for the campaigns are sounded. Look at MediaMax Limited. All outlets belonging this corporation is as red as the Jubilee flag, they should actually redesign their logo to involve the two yellow fists with 'Tuko Pamoja' underneath it. The reason K24 ratings has refused to soar is because of their association with the ruling regime. There are homes in this country where that channel is locked because parents do not want to pollute the mindset of their children with unresearched government propaganda. AC Milan was owned by Sylvio Berlusconi, but even the former Italy Prime Minister was careful not to tell Carlo Ancelotti who to field on the day of the Champions League Final. He let King Carlo do his job, and was judged on his own merit. If K24 was a KPL club, they would have won the league ten times on the bounce, with a million matches to spare; thanks to coercion, bribery, and intimidation. This country cannot afford to activate dusty rules and regulations only when it fits those in power. We have to make a choice as country whether we want to abide by the rule of all-law, or the rule of one-man. I leave you with the immortal words of Mehmet Murat ildan, The Turkish Playwright, who said, and I quote; “Unless you have a free press in your country, there is no need to buy newspapers and there is no need to watch the news because there is no need to listen to the lies!" If the Media Council are tired of doing their job, we have a million jobless Kenyans out here ready to serve their country without fear, favour, ill-will, bias, malice or prejudice. And for free. We love this country so much we'll fight for it's integrity even if we'll be the last people standing on this soil. Step up, my country men. This country needs you now more than ever before.

DENNIS ITUMBI IS JUST A POLITICAL BEGGAR.

I have seen Dennis Itumbi tear into Mohammed Ali on his Facebook page. The photo that started this conversation features some media personalities sharing a roundtable with ODM party leader, Eng. Raila Odinga, one of his deputies, Emir Ali Hasan Joho, and nominated MP, Dr. Oburu Odinga. While the photo depicts a harmless sit-down with the unwavering statesmen, Dennis Itumbi has spun the narrative by creating the impression that the meeting was plotting a dangerous mission deadlier than the battle of Iwo Jima.
And this is the reason why he must be called out.
If you ask anyone what Itumbi is known for, they’ll be hard pressed to mention any meaningful contribution to the profession of journalism. Before Itumbi was hired at State House, he used to run a hurriedly-assembled, badly-configured, contraption of a blog. Little kids called him a Twitter bigwig - he, like his borrowed friend Robert Alai, used to pick fights with everyone online and because Kenyans love gossip and gutter, Itumbi made a name from being hounded in the back of police vehicles, spending his petit bum in cold cells, and making a name from backstreet journalism.
To say that Itumbi's blog had grammatical errors is to give grammar a bad name. That blog was painful reading, it is the reason he keeps walking with huge papers whenever he's invited to media houses. He has struggled to camouflage his dubious academic background, at one time the national intelligence service revealed that he is unfit to serve in the President’s office for he was not literate enough, neither was he of sound judgement. He still cannot construct an English sentence without referring to a pre-written script. If ever you find yourself debating Itumbi on television, you're better off sending Spongebob squarepants to take your slot. He’ll drag you down to his pidgin level, and beat you down with experience. The case of Dennis Itumbi is, therefore, that of the elephant on top of a tree - no one seems to understand how it got there, but everyone knows it will come down hard.
Which is why Dennis Itumbi is picking out Mohamed Ali.
Journalism in this country has immensely suffered from a crisis of confidence. Our men of the pen, and mic, aren't the best paid for the risky job they do. Just last week, there was a journalist who was found murdered somewhere in Kilifi and the murder trail pointed to his dedication towards seeing justice prevail. Journalists, in this country, constantly live with threats to their lIves and property. Thieving politicians don't like being exposed. Those on their pay roll with do all they can to buy your objectivity, or, in the case of those who stand firm, take you down.
Every journalist in this country, therefore, has a price. Francis Gachuri, of Citizen TV, left being objective a million years ago. Same to Jackie Maribe, Faizah Wanjiru and Sylvia Chebet. You could also add Farida Karoney to that long list of media personalities who have openly shifted from being the public watchdog to the politician’s handbag. Every media house has those journalists who come onto your screen and you want to ram your television set off the wall. KTN have socialite Sophia Wanuna and her morning breakfast twin Michael Gitonga. Daily Nation have Gitaru Warigi. Perhaps the most unapologetic Jubilee newsman is Oliver Mathenge. You will scour the four corners of this country to find a more biased journalist worse than Mathenge and your search will come a cropper. If Oliver Mathenge has survived the purge at The Star, then objectivity long ceased to be the centrepiece of media coverage in this part of the world.
Which begs the question why Dennis Itumbi is obsessed with Mohamed Ali.
The answer is simple. That despite Jubilee taking advantage of the transfer window to pocket all influencial journalists in this country, Mohamed Ali belongs to the few who have refused to subscribe to the narrow philosophy of brown envelope journalism. And that makes him a marked man. "If they can't beat you", Jalang'o always says, "they'll arrange for your beating."
Dennis Itumbi is obsessed with journalists who cannot be bought by State House blood money because it keeps Kenyans distracted from the cancer patients sleeping on the cold floor of Kenyatta National Hospital waiting for their chemotherapy turn, or death, whichever comes first. Jubilee will want you to forget they promised us fully- edged low-cost diagnostic centres and treatment facilities for persons with chronic or terminal conditions in every county. When you see Dennis Itumbi shifting attention to Mohammed Ali, you know shit has hit the fan and someone has to clothe the naked King.
Dennis Itumbi needs to keep this war on Mohamed Ali going for as long as possible because it keeps Kenyans distracted from asking about the 5 stadia they promised to build in 2013 for which not even a blade of grass has been procured. Itumbi, and his pocketed media friends, are under instructions to keep this war on Mohamed Ali going for as long as possible because it keeps Luhyas distracted from asking where the 1B shillings bailout that was given towards the Pan Parer revival. With the government's books leaking red ink by the bucketfuls, as confirmed by the Auditor General last week, it is important that Kenyans be distracted from asking who's been eating money by picking a quarrel with Mohamed Ali.
This war on Mohammed Ali is part of a masterful plan meant to camouflage the Jubilee stench thicker than the Kaloche swamp water. Jubilee government have 99 problems, and Mohammed Ali is not one of them. We now have the precedent of extrajudicial killings that makes banana Republics envious. It is un-Kenyan to incarcerate a large group of people when there is no credible reason to think they are dangerous. The Jubilee mujahideen must tell us why they have chosen to declare war on cancer patients in this country. Anyone who has a relative or a friend suffering from cancer, and sleeping on cold earthen floors at the KNH, should pick the Kenya Constitution 2010 and sue the state for denying them the social rights guaranteed under Article 43. Yesterday it was Willie Kimani and those lawyers who stand for truth and justice. Today it's Mohamed Ali and the few remaining journalists who mean well for this country. Tomorrow it will be you. And you know how the story goes, don't you?
If you see a government associating with the China Communist Party, you should begin applying for citizenship to the tiny island of Vanuatu. Or remain right here and fight back for your country. The pumpkin, and the knife, are still in your hands. But it won't be for long. When the dust, finally, settles and there’ll be no one else to speak out for all the atrocities meted on innocent Kenyans, it will be too late to turn back the clock.
I leave you with my all-time best quote from Thomas Sowell, who said, that; "If people in the media cannot decide whether they are in the business of reporting news or manufacturing propaganda, it is all the more important that the public understand that difference, and choose their news sources accordingly."
We are at war.

Mohammed Ali Jicho pevu ends Saidoo winning calculations in Nyali politics 2017

Reasons you should vote Mohammed Ali as Nyali MP

On hearing the name Nyali, the thought that comes to many is that the residents consist of the rich and moneyed. Though a good percentage of population in Nyali are the rich, a big number consist of Mombasa’s poor. Kongowea is such place in Nyali where middle and low-income level people stay. Other places in Nyali which host the low-cost residents include Bombolulu, Kadzandani, Mkomani, Bakarani, Bamburi Mtambo & Ziwa la Ng'ombe. Nyali represents a society where the rich and poor peacefully co-exist. But the poor's numerical strength is bigger than the rich in Nyali. The decision lies with the poor, and not the rich.

Now, a rich man cannot represent the poor effectively, especially if he/she was born rich. A good leader needs to be empathetic of his people’s needs, having gone through the same and understands what the people need. It is for this among many other reasons that Nyali constituency requires a leader who has risen through the ranks, from poverty to capacity, who has made it through experience and can relate well with the poor and rich of Nyali, and bridge the existing gap between the two groups of people.

Mohammed Ali is the right man for Nyali. Let me tell you why.

Moha, as he is popularly known, is a perfect story of grace to grass. He hustled through childhood to his youth, from a poor background to a hustler living in Mtopanga, who never accepted failure as a result. He also lived in Majengo, Guraya and Ganjoni as he struggled with life in Mombasa. He has worked as a casual coffee barister with Starbucks coffee in Saudi Arabia during is long hustles in life. He loved sports, cherished making friends and capitalized on his speech prowess to make inroads into places less reached by youths his age. Moha worked 9 months at Pwani fm, without pay. But he worked still. He later got a job as a reporter & presenter with Radio Salaam, where he impacted on lives of many with his sports program and the investigative features that unearthed corrupt dealings in Coast municipalities and parastatals. Through is investigative features, he was able to stop or at least reduce the levels of looting of public funds and resources by public servants in the port among other parastatals. He has done this to date, magnifying it to the whole country having got a job at a national broadcaster to enable him do so. Moha detested corruption from when he was young.

Moha loves the youth. A youth himself, he relates very well with the youth of Nyali. He knows the story of youths, relates well with the plight of youths and has a heart willing to help youths rise from disadvantaged positions to better positions in life. He knows a youth needs education, a job, security, a house and a decent life. Given a chance, Moha can ensure of that for the youths he represents. You know how? He shall ensure resources trickle down to the last person. I know he can, for he loves to do that. He abhors corruption; he loves to see youths and women thrive.
All Moha wants is a country where everyman is equal in the eyes of the Lord. He believes all men are equal and deserves equality in the share of public resources. Unfortunately, the government which should facilitate that equality does the exact opposite, creating a wide gap between the poor and the rich. Moha will not rest until the government of the killer regime jubilee is out of power and Raila becomes the president.
Moha knows that women give birth to us, and raise us up. He respects women for the toils they go through to ensure their families are raised in a proper manner. And he wouldn’t want to see a woman suffer. I have seen him stop by the road side to help a woman cross the road. I have seen him buy unga for all women in the plot he stayed in. I have seen him treat women with respect they deserve. He is the best bet for women in Kongowea, Freretown. He is the best person to represent women of Maweni, Mkomani and Kadzandani. For he understands their plight.

Moha is the best man for Nyali through ODM party. ODM is widely followed in Mombasa and Coast generally, and Moha has the party’s ideals at heart. He loves ODM. He loves CORD. Moha is the best man Raila has for Nyali. He shares the same ideologies as ODMs party leader of fighting for people’s rights. His resolve to fight corruption has put him at loggerheads with the government, the same place Raila strolls. They sing the same tune when it comes to governance. Given a chance, Moha can play a pivotal role in CORD. He can be a perfect replacement for Ababu Namwamba.

His challengers for the Nyali seat ride on the backs of their relatives in high places. They are people out of touch with reality on the ground. One is a cousin to the governor Ali Hassan Joho and hopes to capitalize on his cousin’s successes in politics. Saido has thrived on illegal Port deals to create wealth that he is ready to use in his campaign at the expense of port workers and the port as a whole. He uses his gang of 10 rowdy youths to threaten and bully his competitors and whoever is against his flimsy ambition that cannot see light of day. Question is, can he share the same podium with his brother Ali hassan joho in Mombasa and the country at large? Hell no! He is a faceless man who can't garner votes for Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Raila Amollo Odinga. Mohammed Ali aka Jicho Pevu is better suited for that. He has a face and a brand to sell Raila and Joho. He is the voice of the voiceless. He has every single Kenyan behind him. They love him to death. The other one, Ashraf Bayusuf, is a reject of the family. He mismanaged his father’s business. His family is angry with him for mismanagement of multi-million shillings business. He can’t therefore purport to be able to lead a constituency if he couldn’t manage a business.
ODM should therefore conduct its nomination with lots of credibility and focus on a win. Direct nomination to kins of who-is-who in the party will only do more harm than good to the party, like it did with Kajembe & co. Shambled nominations would also be costly to the party. That is why we call for a free and fair nomination process; and we believe Moha will floor all his competitors due to his +ve ideologies for the people of Nyali, and the manifesto he stands for. A credible nomination will mean a credible outcome of election.
It is upon us as Nyali residents to make the right, informed decision about who we elect our MP. But we can’t do this if we aren’t registered voters. Get your IDs, go and get yourselves registered in the IEBC offices and wait to cast your vote to the right leader. Vote Moha, vote hope and prosperity.

mohammed Ali entrance in politics is a big threat to people who have raped democracy

Why Mohammed Ali's Anticipated Entrance Into Politics Giving Jubilee Sleepless Nights If you want to kill a dog, accuse him of having rabies, goes a French saying. For a good period of time, the senseless, fearless investigative journalist Mohammed Ali, better known in the circles as Moha Jicho Pevu drawn from his facts hitting and explosive expose piece, Jicho Pevu a programme that has since revolutionized the Investigative journalism in Kenya. Moha has become punching bag especially for the reigning regime's leaders and their followers. The indomitable journalist, in numerous occasions have been labeled a terrorist sympathizer from what the system's cohorts want him to be seen as given his exposes that have criticized the government and poked loopholes in the fight against terrorism. This ranges from unwarranted arrests of Muslims to extrajudicial killings moves that he has vehemently opposed. Death threats have become order of the day for the young defiant journalist who proves to be a thorn in the flesh for the government. He's been perceived as a state's enemy exposing him to attacks from jubilee's chauvinist. The Latest attack came from Interior Security PS Nkaiserry during recent discovery of a mass grave in Mandera, the CS accused Moha of liaising with the Alshabaab and propagating their agenda, he went further demanding the journalist to ask for forgiveness of which he courageously dismissed standing his ground on living the truth. All these attacks yearn for the biggest question. What is it with Mohammed Ali that is making the jubilee government overwhelmingly disturbed. According to close sources to the highest office in the land, several schemes have been dispatched in a bid to discredit one of the most trusted journalist in Kenya owing to his undisputed investigative pieces. Why would they break arms to discredit him? Inside sources confirms months of speculations that Mohammed Ali is arming himself for entry into active politics which means he'll dump his journalism career anytime soon. His anticipated entry into politics is giving jubilee's strategists hell of a time as this would change the whole picture and how politics is played in Kenya. Moha is seen leaning more towards the opposition leader Raila Odinga who's also pumping to have his most crucial shot in the incoming presidential elections. The government's operatives are more than shaken that Moha's entrance into Tinga's team will not only change the campaign game but also undo months and years of their 'hardwork'. While it's still not clear where Ali will be vying, sources close reveal he will be going for Nyali constituency seat. However, what's giving the government's wreath is his relevance in the larger national political scene. There are genuine fears that Ali's entrance into politics would shake the Muslim voting block and reshape their voting patterns. It is feared that his defiant voice will be more relevant to the discriminated Muslim society who feel less Kenyan and form a bigger voting block. Currently, the Muslim community lack a visible vocal advocate for their rights a void that Moha can easily fill and own. In the case this happens, the Muslim voting block will shift allegiance and now you see why the system is worried. The Muslims have genuine issues they've been crying out on from unwarranted arrests to extrajudicial killings to isolation in development especially in the North Eastern regions which is also hit with lack of ID issuance epidemic. In general, the normal Muslim in the community has a genuine discriminatory issue to raise. These leaves them vulnerable to any strong voice to fight for their rights and space in Kenya, this is where Moha comes in and hell for the Jubilee government. Similarly, the youths, who forms majority of the population in Kenya and also eligible voters would easily identify with Moha. There are fears that a revolution would be sparked and who else would lead such a course of not fearless, respected heads as Mohammed Ali. The youths of this country have often been told they're the leaders of tomorrow, a day that never came and now going for the leadership posts themselves. Have you ever thought the impact it would make if the youths of the country rose above limits to bring change? All that is needed are young blood courageous enough to start the fire and this what worries the jubilee operatives most as Moha seems from his frequent declaration that he's at war with the dragging regime. They're afraid he will influence the youths to rebel against the sitting government and gunner enough votes to ouster them from power. In the final analysis, Mohammed Ali has a national trustworthy face, thanks to his excellent jobs on the media that has earned him the trust from many Kenyans. Jicho Pevu, a show that he pioneered is seen as the truth speaker in Kenyan media, imagine that effect on politics. Moha as a public figure, currently enjoys a national level look, this will fuel a major boost to Raila's campaign and duel major pain to the government who will now have difficult time in countering his influence. According to talks in the CORD corridors, Moha is expected once making it official to joining politics to head a revolutionary team that will hold the government head on as the electioneering period catches fire. There is unease in the government's circles that Moha's face as a trusted public figure would deal the jubilee team a major blow especially in the nation phase. Despite all the threats and attacks from obvious quarters, the fearless journalist is not getting off his seat anytime soon. His pursuance for justice that has put him in the bad books of the government doesn't seem to be catching cold any minute as he comes out more defiant towards the current regime which he believes is dragging Kenyans back to the bad days. Should Moha be a worried man? I end it with his own words 'You can't kill a dead man, I'm ready to die. We will get back this country to where it should be' "We will make this country great, one day". Revolution will not be televised. there is nothing for us without us. Its a RAILA ODINGA PRESIDENCY COME WHAT MAY.

Tycoons in mombasa also worship politcians.

Coast tycoons fight for financial survival:

Coast (Mombasa) business tycoons who once lived as kings and who literally controlled close to half business transactions in the coastal region are said to be facing hard economic times since Uhuru Kenyatta took over power in 2013. Investigations reveal that most of the coast tycoons had in 2013 believed that Cord presidential candidate Raila Odinga was headed for the presidential victory only for Uhuru to be declared the ultimate winner.

However, their troubles are linked to buying of land in Lamu for port construction which backfired when Senator James Orengo was then lands minister.
Sources say the tycoons heavily funded and bankrolled Raila’s campaigns to the tune of hundreds of millions of shillings with promises that once ODM formed the government, they would be considered and rewarded with multi-billion tenders to recover the campaign money they offered to Cord.
The tycoons who are known to have wielded both economic and political power during the retired president Daniel Moi regime are said to have closed more than half of their businesses after they lost lucrative government tenders.

During the 1992 campaigns, the tycoons funded Kanu and Moi’s campaigns running into hundreds of millions and were later rewarded with government contracts especially at the Kenya Ports Authority. In order to consolidate political power, the tycoons apart from sponsoring presidential
campaigns, also sponsored parliamentary candidates to ensure all powerful and outspoken MPs were compromised and silenced, a game in which they perfectly well succeeded in.
Apart from winning government tenders, the tycoons also used the power of their wallets to compromise top government officials mainly at the port of Mombasa and at the Kenya Revenue Authority where their companies were involved in serious tax evasion ranging into billions. Because of the political power they wielded and being politically correct and connected, no KRA officials would dare investigate their companies lest you are kicked
out of the job.
The same scenario was witnessed in 1997 but things changed in 2002 when the Narc took over power from Kanu through Mwai Kibaki. Sources, however, divulged that the tycoons managed to penetrate the Narc administration through the links of the controversial Othaya MP Mary Wambui.
It was during Kibaki’s first term in office that the tycoons again became influential and did business with the Narc administration. The same was again witnessed in 2007 when Kibaki run for the second term and upon formation of grand coalition government, some of the tycoons aligned themselves with Raila while others remained loyal to Kibaki.

Then come 2013 elections, majority of the coast tycoons were in Raila’s camp where they bankrolled his campaigns. This was the beginning of their tribulations as the Jubilee administration had blacklisted them and could not do business with the government. Following Jubilee’s rejection of their request for contracts consideration, life has never been the same again for them. Most of them have been reduced to beggars while others are pale
shadow of self.

Investigations reveal that most of their businesses were closed because they could no longer win the lucrative tenders with the government. Some are
under investigations by KRA and are facing serious cases of tax evasion while others have had their properties and businesses auctioned by commercial banks over non-payment of rents. Others linked to international drug trafficking after pocketing police officers based in Mombasa have found themselves in trouble or even in courts facing extradiction to foreign countries as those involved in ivory international trade are languishing in jail.

This week, we reveal how coast tycoons are feeling the heat as a result of change of guard at State House and their failure to penetrate the Uhuru  handlers. Tahir Sheikh Said One of such tycoons is Tahir Sheikh Said who sources say is facing serious financial constraints. Last week, word leaked out that
the Kenya Commercial Bank had taken over his milling company citing its default of a Sh1 billion loan. Bank sources divulged that KCB has in excess of Sh1billion non-performing loans with TSS Unga Millers.
Following the takeover, none of the directors, shareholders, employees and no other person is authorised to transact any business on behalf of the company without express written consent from the administrator. KCB had in May issued a notice indicating that it had taken over management of the
miller. “Notice is hereby given that the above company was placed under administration by Kenya Commercial Bank Limited on May 30 2016,” the bank said in a recent statement.
To show how badly TSS is doing, sources claim that the businessman is said to have Sh8 billion in total non-performing loans with a number of banks
booked under other subsidiaries in his business empire. Those who have done business with him say that he made his wealth through land ownership.

According to wealth in Kenya Report of 2014, he is listed as one of the largest land owners in the country.
His fortunes began to dwindle when the Jubilee administration cancelled title deeds to large tracts of land in Lamu that were associated with him. Some of the land is said to have been used to secure loans in excess of Sh5 billion from two public listed banks. Other banks said to be considering auctioning him is NIC Bank where he has failed to repay Sh1.4 billion and National Bank who are demanding Sh300 million.
It has now surfaced that TSS has been entangled in several court cases, most of them involving land ownership. His multi-billions shillings investments in transport and petroleum is said to be crumbling as well as the TSS Transporters, a passenger bus service that plies the Nairobi -Mombasa route, and TSS service stations, one near Pangani on the outskirts of Nairobi.

Ali Punjani

He was politically correct and connected during the previous regimes though many know him as a an alleged drug dealer, a claim that he has rubbished as “hearsay and malice” by business rivals. He is also said to be undergoing difficult economic times as his multi-millions business empire is almost collapsing. The billionaire owns several five-star hotels in the UK, Dubai and Africa and had also acquired Sun-n-Sand Hotel to his business. He has of late taken a back seat and is hardly seen public these days. He is known to be spending most of his time at the hotel contemplating on what to what to do next.
Punjani also owns Nyali International Hotel, Rising Star Commodities, Punjani Electrical Limited, Real Estates, Helicopters Sales and one of the Marshalls Group owners. The group holds the franchise for some of the biggest names in the automotive industry, including KIA, TATA trucks and buses, TRW Lucas, Delphi, Prestolite and Fulmen in East Africa. During his heyday, he used to drive a Rolls Royce Phantom, BMW X6 2012 Edition and Ferarri Trouble for Punjani began when he was mentioned adversely over the Lamu land saga, after documents showed that he sold one of the controversial parcels for approximately Sh870 million.
The buyers allegedly never set foot on the land before buying it, but only surveyed it by helicopter. Punjani, and a Gulbani B Punjani are allegedly directors in Rising Star Commodities, which transferred 40,140 acres (16,200ha) to Calyon Enterprises. Owners of Calyon then used the document to secure Sh870 million from Diamond Trust Bank to pay Rising Star.

Currently, Punjani fortunes have dwindled. His marriage has hit rocks with his personal assistant a one Amin dying in controversial circumstances. Amin was his brother-in-law. It is said before his death, Punjani blamed Amin for having messed his business empire by spending a fortune on buying land in Lamu whose title deeds were cancelled by Jubilee government. The key playersin the land deal was James Orengo then Lands minister and Mohammed Hatimy a former football official.Of late, Punjani cannot be found on his mobile phone and sleeps for 18 hours at his Nyali home. His office at Shimazi area that was beehive of activity in Kibaki era with who is who visiting is a pale shadow of its former itself.
We have established, Punjani owes ABC Bank a loan running into billions of shillings and soon will be declared bankrupt. He took a loan to buy a hotel from businessman Kamlesh Pattni. He is reportedly has resorted to drug abuse since his mother died.

Ashok Doshi

Mombasa-based billionaire, Ashok Doshi, is also experiencing hard financial times as most of businesses have closed down. He was recently in the news when his Sh1 billion was locked in the under receivership Imperial Bank. He has since sued the Central Bank of Kenya. Ashok is associated with the Doshi Group, a company with interests in manufacturing and trading, including the sale of building materials and power cables. Founded in 1923 in Mombasa, the Doshi Group has grown organically and through acquisitions, it has become one of Kenya’s biggest manufacturing firms.

Mohamed Jaffer

Mohamed Jaffer is yet another coast tycoon whose business empire is said to be on its knees. He is the proprietor of the multi-million dollar investment that is the Grain Bulk Handlers Limited. During the Moi and Kibaki regimes, he was one of the wealthiest and best-networked tycoons in Coast region and beyond.
His financial woes began when he delinked himself from the Kibaki administration in the run-up to 2007 general elections when he supported and bankrolled Raila’s campaign kitty to the tune of hundreds of millions. He is known to enjoy a close friendship with Raila.
During the grand coalition government, he is known to have won several tenders courtesy of his friendship with Raila. In fact a joke is being cracked that he used to request Raila to go to his home and the then PM always honored the request. Apart from Raila, he is also known to have funded a number of politicians including cabinet minister and those aspiring for various political seats. Those who know him well say that apart from being a businessman, he was also a serious power broker in Coast politics.
He is the founder of the MJ Group, Kenya’s largest provider of cargo handling services. The group’s flagship company owns a grain terminal that specialises in the discharge and handling of bulk grain cargo at the Port of Mombasa, a coastal Kenyan town. The facility was built at a cost of over $35 million in the 1990s and is now valued at over $140 million. The MJ Group also owns several cargo handling terminals and container freight stations in Kenya, Uganda and the United States as well as LPG Terminals and a grain terminal at the port of Lake Charles in Louisiana in the United States.

Mohammed Sajjad

Life has not been very kind to the Mombasa commodity trader whom sources now say is facing financial constraints as most of his businesses are collapsing. His business empire faced serious setbacks when he surrendered Sh1.6 billion prime public property, including recreational parks and a clinic, after years of court battles. To avoid further court battles where he was paying millions to lawyers who sources say made a kill by representing him in various cases, he also handed back 18 title deeds for the plots acquired irregularly to Governor Hassan Joho and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission in the year 2014.
Sajjad, through his company Comen Limited, had initially challenged attempts by the anti-graft agency to repossess the land that had been set aside for public amenities. The land parcels was reserved for public recreation, bus parks, municipal council parking, ferry services, public school, prison and clinics.
The defunct Mombasa Municipal Council is said to have sold Uhuru Gardens to Comen Limited in 1995 for Sh55 million in order to pay striking workers’ salaries. Feeling the heat, Sajjad has relocated to Dubai where he is doing business.

Mohammed Bawazir

He was associated with Bawazir Glasses and owned Bawazir Plaza and Milly Millers. He is found in Kibokoni area. He has sold his properties and his son plans to run for MCA seat.

Abubakar Joho

He is the brother to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho. His name had previously featured prominently in the list of suspected drug barons. His name also appeared in the Armenian brothers’ saga– the Aturs. He was mentioned as longtime business associates of Mary Wambui. Abubakar is a director of Chelamed (K) Ltd, one of the companies recently mentioned in connection with airport security passes dished out freely to individuals and companies associated with the Artur brothers.
Recently, the government allegedly ordered the immediate closure of container depots associated with him and his brother Hassan. Sources say it was suspected the depots are used to smuggle contraband goods into the country. In January this year, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and Kenya Revenue Authority intercepted smuggled sugar worth Sh56 million at a Container Freight Station in Mombasa.

Alnoor Jiwani

Jiwani had allegedly perfected the art of dumping oil in Kenya and had then powerman Nicholas Biwott as his godfather. He allegedly evaded taxes and his Alber Petroleum was linked to many scandals. He has gone silent of late, so as his godfather, the ailing Biwott.

The Akashas

Life has never been the same to the larger Akasha family following the killing of their patron Ibrahim Akasha in The Netherlands. Akasha was killed in 200o as he walked hand-in-hand with his wife when a gunman on a motorbike sped by. The two had just stepped into Bloedstraat, (Bloodstreet) in one of Amsterdam’s redlight districts, when the man whipped out a pistol and fired at Akasha at close range.
It was believed Akasha was caught in the crossfire of a vicious war between Dutch and Yugoslav gangs. Reports indicated Akasha had fallen out with Yugoslav barons active in The Netherlands and other parts of Europe over the non-payment of a consignment of heroin worth Sh200 million. The Akasha dynasty had also suffered its biggest setback when Kenyan and US agents raided the family residence in Nyali, Mombasa and arrested the late drug baron’s son and heir Baktash. Also arrested were his younger brother Ibrahim, Indian drug felon Vijay ‘Vicky’ Goswami and Pakistani national

Gulam Hussein

It is now believed that despite Ibrahim’s death years ago; the Akasha family remained powerful, apparently deploying its immense wealth to control police and some judicial officials in Mombasa and Nairobi. By no means, will the family fall into ruin with this arrest.
Following Akasha’s murder in 2000, the family, which is composed of sons from three wives, descended into a violent succession war that led to the death Kamaldin who was shot at a petrol station in Makupa, Mombasa. Kamaldin was perceived to be a notorious and cunning son.
Nurdin Abdalla Akasha, popularly known as Tinta, was investigated and detained for Kamaldin’s murder but released without charge. Kamaldin, Kamal and Baktash are said to have been their father’s favourite sons, with reports indicating that Kamaldin had been poised to inherit Akasha’s mantle before he was killed.
Baktash was investigated for Kamal’s death but was also set free without charges. He was, however, to be caught up in another controversy soon after when his wife Suad, was found dead and hanging by a string in his house in Nyali. She was buried amid controversy over the cause of death. Following pressure from family members, the body was exhumed and an autopsy conducted. The results of the autopsy have never been made public and investigations into her murder have not been concluded to date.

SS Mehta and Sons

The SS Mehta Company which was established in 1959 dealing in civil engineering works and directly involved in road construction is also facing financial difficulties and in dire doldrums.
Sources say the company enjoyed political goodwill from the Moi family and was illegally awarded multi-billion road construction tenders during the Moi regime. Their tenders were cut down following the entry of the Narc government under the leadership Mwai Kibaki

Kabogo says Mt Kenya will not vote for Ruto in 2022

Kiambu governor, William kabogo has told Deputy President William ruto that he should not depend on Mt Kenya votes for presidency come 2022

It is now not a sure thing as to who Mt Kenya residents will vote for as president come 2022.

This is according to Kiambu governor William Kabogo who was speaking on election matters in Juja.

In a statement that seemed to be addressed to Deputy President William Ruto, Kabogo said that the decision of the people as to who would become president would not be automatic and favoured towards a specific candidate.

He stated that whoever wanted to be president would have to earn the trust and loyalty of the people.

Kabogo was speaking at Muiri farm in Juja where he went on to explain that the region had quite a number of votes which had to be split accordingly once President Kenyatta was done with his term.

"Even if we promised someone a seat, we will have to sit down and talk. We will not just give away the seat like that.

We have the votes and, therefore, have to be respected," said Kabogo.

This comes just months after President Kenyatta had visited the area asking the people to support Ruto as president come 2022.

The decision is now in the hands of Kiambu residents and what they decide will most probably determine who the next president of Kenya will be.

Despite Kabogo’s claims, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungw'a who is also a very controversial critic of the governor said that it was not dependent on him as to how the people of the area vote.

He pointed out that each individual would vote for who they deem fit for the presidential seat when that time comes.
